As we head into the final half of the summer term, we’re excited to share a number of special events that we hope you’ll be able to join us for. Please see below for all the key dates and details:

🚶‍♂️ Nursery Big Toddle
📅 Monday 9th June
🕑 1.15pm
Our little Caterpillars are taking part in The Big Toddle Event to raise money for Barnado’s. We would love for you to join us to walk with your children or alternatively, welcome us back to school after our walk. We invite the children to wear safari themed fancy dress & would be grateful if you could ‘bring a plate’ (think party food) to share on our return (a reminder that we are nut free). We aim to meet at school ready for 1.15pm & leave by 1.30pm. I estimate we will be back at school for 2.00/2.15pm.

🎤 Shropshire Sings
📅 Tuesday 10th June
🕕 6:15pm
Parents are invited to watch this wonderful musical event. Some of our children have worked really hard learning new songs to share with you. Mrs Evans has sent out the link to purchase tickets.

👨‍👧 Father’s Day Celebration
📅 Friday 13th June
🕓 4:00–5:00pm
Dads and Grandads are invited to spend a special hour with their little ones, enjoying a range of fun activities together.

🍳 Food Roadshow
📅 Wednesday 18th June
🕐 From 1:00pm
Back by popular demand! Join us for an interactive cooking experience inspired by “Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook”. It’s a fun and engaging way to explore food and cooking together.

🎪 Bowfest
📅 Saturday 28th June
🕛 12:00–5:00pm
This will be a fantastic, fun-filled day for the whole family and open to the wider community. Expect games, food, entertainment, and more!

🏃‍♀️ Sports Day
📅 Wednesday 2nd July
🕘 Starts at 9:15am – Finishes by 11:00am
Come and cheer on the children as they take part in a morning of fun and friendly sporting activities!

🧺 Sharing Picnic

🕝 From 1:30pm
We’d love for you to join us for a relaxed afternoon picnic. Please bring a food donation for everyone to enjoy—just a gentle reminder to ensure all items are nut-free.

Dear Parents/ Carers

I am writing to address the concerns regarding safety in and around the school.

We have met with the Council this morning to look at how we can make the site safe at pick up and drop off times. We explored the potential second entrance on to Wrekin Dove close. Currently, the Council have stated that this is not a viable option as planning permission is needed and there is a lack of infrastructure in the area.

Please be assured that we are working with the Council to find effective resolutions. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation during this time. Can you ensure that you allow us to handle the matter rather than taking any actions independently?

There are several options currently being explored, and we are committed to finding the best possible solution. We will be able to provide you with definite timelines and further details in a meeting scheduled to take place immediately after the Easter break.

Mothers Day Celebration Wednesday 26^th March 1.15pm-2.15pm OR 2.15pm-3.15pm

We are excited to invite you to our special Mother’s Day Workshop! This event will be held on Wednesday, 26th March. We have 44 tickets available for both time slots.

During the workshop, you and your little one will have the opportunity to participate in two fun activities, involving Baking and Flowers.

To ensure everyone has a chance to join in the fun, sign-up will open on Arbor Shop for the price of £5 on Monday, 10th March. Bookings will close on Friday 21st March. Please note that we can only accommodate one ticket per child. If mums/carers are not available, nans/grandmothers are welcome to take their place.

Please don’t worry if you are unable to join. Children without an adult will stay in class and take part in other Mother’s Day crafts.

We thought we would launch British Science Week with a fun filled day at Enginuity.

The visit will take place on Monday the 10th of March, departing school at 9.15am and returning around 2.00pm

The cost of this trip is £14.25, which includes the cost of entry, transport and insurance. Payment for this trip should be made via your child’s Arbor account prior to the date of the trip. Although costs for trips are voluntary, in reality the school has no other means of funding these trips. We hope that everyone can contribute to the trip in some way.

This trip is available for all of Kingfishers, Dragonflies and Caterpillars. Note for Caterpillar parents: if your child does not usually attend Nursery on a Monday, but they would like to join the trip, there will be an additional charge for care charged at £33 for the day. This trip is completely optional for those children.

Children will need to wear school uniform and bring a waterproof coat. Packed lunches will be provided for Dragonflies and Kingfishers. Caterpillars will need to bring a packed lunch. All children will need to bring water bottles.
