Our Philosophy
We believe that lunchtimes and eating a hot nutritious meal is one of the most important parts of the day.
We know that what children eat plays an important part in their wellbeing and a positive relationship with food and healthy eating will set them on the right track for later life. Lunch times are a key time for our nursery and reception children to sit down and eat together with staff as a socially enjoyable occasion.
We encourage children to take the hot meal and all children in Reception receive a FREE HOT MEAL funded by the Government.
We want our children to have a independent dining experience – similar to that at home or when out at a café or restaurant.
Our Caterers will work closely with school staff and pupils to ensure a whole school approach to food, activities and health education.
