Today has centred around penguins! Where do they live? What do they eat? What do they like to do? Some children set up a slide for the penguins and tested the materials to see if they were ‘slippy’ enough. We used words like ‘rough, smooth, shiny, soft’ to predict whether the penguins would be able to slide.
This led us on to talk about cold colours and some of us explored mixing blue and white paint to make different shades.
