Dear Parent/Carer,
Welcome to Bowbrook Primary School. We are delighted to welcome you all to our school community. Opening the doors to our brand new school will be a historic moment and of course a very special journey for you and your child. Bowbrook will be a fantastic learning environment and building strong relationships with children and families will be at the very heart of what we do.
You child will be in Dragonflies Class with Reception Teacher Mrs Davis.
Information required from parents
So that we can make a head start and get to know more about your child and their current pre-school setting, we would like some information from you. Please can you complete our School Registration Form and Induction Questionnaire and return it by email. We would like these back by Friday 26th May please. If you require paper copies to be posted, then please contact us by email or telephone so we can arrange this.

Community Plant & Craft Fair
On Saturday 20th May 10:00am-12:00 noon we will be joining our partner school Coleham Primary at their annual Plant & Craft Fair in their school hall and grounds. This will feature children’s competitions, refreshments, plant sales and craft activities. We will be using this event, as an opportunity to meet all new Coleham and Bowbrook children in a fun and relaxed setting. You are warmly invited, our staff will be running a craft activity and we would love to meet you if you are free on this day.
Parents Information Evening
We would like to invite you to our Parents Information Evening on Thursday 8th June at 6:00pm. This will be held in the school hall and will include a presentation from our Early Years Teacher Mrs Davies and myself. Please enter school via the main front entrance gate.
Family Stay & Play session
This event allows us to meet your child and for families and children to explore reception classrooms in a relaxed setting with their parents. You will also be able to meet our Chef Manager and sample some lunch tasters and, most importantly, join us to play and explore resources in the classrooms. As Bowbrook Primary School is not yet open, we will be holding this event at Coleham Primary School. Please enter school via the field gate on Greyfriars Road where you will be greeted by staff.

Home Visits
Our Reception Teacher Mrs Davis would very much like to meet all families and children personally and so we will be arranging home visits with yourselves. This will allow you to share what is special and unique about your child. These will take place in June and we will be in touch regarding these.
Bowbrook Primary School Tour
We would like to arrange a special site visit for families and children to tour our new school building. We are currently arranging this with our building contractor and will be in touch with a date for July 2023.
Starting School
The new school year will start on Thursday 7th September giving us all 2 days to settle in before the returning for a full week after the weekend.
Pre-school Information
Getting to know your child even before they start school is really important to us, so we will soon be seeking information from your child’s current nursery/preschool/childcare provider so that we have gathered as much information as possible about your child in order to make September a real success.
Naturally, starting school is a very exciting time but it can also be an anxious time for parents and children. Please be assured that we will do everything we can to help you become familiar with our staff and ensure a smooth transition and the best possible start to school for your child.
We are very much looking forward to getting to know you all and will look forward to meeting you and your children soon.
Yours Faithfully,
S Aiston
