Head’s update

Summer term is here!
We are so excited for this term. Hopefully we get some nice weather and we can spend lots of time outside. The outdoors can be the best classroom in the world.

There are some new faces amongst the children and staff. Miss Taylor has joined our team and you will see her in the front office and in the Nursery classroom. We have some new children, particularly in Nursery. Please help welcome the new families into our community.

We want to make this term incredible for the children and have many visits and visitors planned. As always we want our parents and the wider community involved.

It seems to have flown by but we will be looking at transitions to the next year group for the majority of our children this term. We have waiting lists for our Nursery and Reception classes for next year which shows the success of our teaching team and the support that we have received from our community.

As always, any questions then please come and speak to me. Any ideas for trips or activities are always welcome.

The sun is out

Finally we have a bit of sun and we are determined to make the most of it. We want our children outdoors as much as possible to run around and take in the fresh air.

New term means new classrooms

Our teachers have been working hard on our environment to make the classrooms the best they can be for our children.

Frozen Sing-Along

Thank you everybody for coming along to our Frozen Sing-Along event.  There is no better way to unwind on a Friday than coming together with friends for a few hours in the evening!  We hope you all enjoyed it!

Inside Out!

We have been back at Forest school this week and we had great fun in the mud. The outdoors can be the best classroom in the world to work on physical development, communication and language and our social skills.

Cooking

We are so lucky at Bowbrook to have a room that is designated for cooking. Throughout the summer term we will be taking the children up there and discussing healthy food choices, measuring out ingredients and making some delicious treats.

After School Club

Our After School Club runs from 3.20 – 5.30pm. There will be opportunities to go outside and use the bikes and our outdoor equipment. There will be various craft activities, healthy snacks and visits to Mini-Bowbrook and the Imagination Playground.

New staff member

We have Miss Lauren Taylor in our team. Lauren will be in the office or in Nursery for this half term. I am sure everyone will make her feel welcome.
