Headteacher update

What a fantastic week this has been. We started Monday with yoga and mindfulness in our dance studio and ended the week covered in mud at Forest school at Inside Out.

It has been Nursery Rhyme week and it has been action packed. We have been using green screens, visited Shrewsbury museum, dressed up, had the parents in for stay and play as well as having a visit from Reverend Charlotte.

We also had another show around school for parents of children looking to join us next September. We have had a great deal of interest which shows the reputation we are creating for ourselves in the community. This is down to the hard work of our staff who have been incredible and are providing so many wonderful opportunities to supplement the children’s learning.

We still have spaces in our Nursery so please get in touch if you are interested. Funding begins in the term after your child’s third birthday.

Have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to next week which promises to be action packed once again!

Sam Aiston

Shrewsbury museum

As part of Nursery Rhyme week we visited Shrewsbury Museum. Our Nursery Rhyme today was Hickory Dickory Dock. The children had to follow clues to find Maximo Mouse. We worked as a team and followed the trail to find him.

We also had some Maximo Mouse snacks too before exploring the Imagination playground. Another day of communication and language being at the heart of our learning.

Delivery to the foodbank

Following our Harvest festival, we took all our donations to the food bank in Coleham.

Mr Aiston had to have some helpers as there was so much to carry thanks to the generosity of our parents.

Stay and Play

We had a great time with our parents and carers at our Nursery Rhyme stay and play. We love having our families in school and the children love showing off what they have been learning.

Using green screens

We used green screens to retell the story of Humpty Dumpty. The children enjoyed using the I-pads and were able to retell the story with pictures.

Yoga with Relax kids

This morning we had Jess from Relax kids in school to do some yoga and mindfulness with the children. We are constantly working on the children’s personal, social and emotional development and they all really enjoyed it and will be looking to do much more of this in the future.

Bowbrook Book Fair

Please join us after school at our book fair which will be running 3.20-3.45pm Monday 27th November- Thursday 30th November.

You will be able to have a good look at the books we have on offer and the opportunity to purchase any books you might like.
