Headteacher update
Our second week has been fantastic. Our children have started swimming and began a range of After school clubs. We are encouraging children to take risks (whilst ensuring they are safe!) and take themselves out of their comfort zone and that is what they are doing!
We are well underway with assessing the children’s Reading and Maths ability and producing next steps to ensure they reach their potential.
We are embedding our 3 rules of: Be Kind, Be Ready, Be Safe and we are proud of the attitude of our pupils.
This is a wonderful environment to work in and there is no doubt that the children will thrive. Have a great week.

Open classrooms
Tonight we showed around the parents and carers of children from Dragonflies and Caterpillars. We love to show off our fabulous setting and it is a great opportunity for the children to show their families where the action happens!
Dragonflies went swimming!
Our Reception class had their first swimming lesson at Prestfelde school this week. There was a lot of nerves but our children felt the fear and did it anyway. They were very brave and we all ended up having great fun!

Cooking with Katie from Katie’s Kitchen
Our children had a great time making dove biscuits to celebrate National Day of Peace which links to our school value: Be Kind.
Thank you Katie!
